The Course

Moorland golf with a parkland heart

The layout

Renowned for its picturesque lay-out

Dunscar is a mix of parkland and moorland holes. Its old and newly planted trees, its water, heather and gorse each create their own challenges. It is not a short course, and it plays beautifully in every season.

3rd · Watermans

Water in play early — a hole that asks a straight question the moment you've warmed up.

16th · The Quarry

The signature par-3, sited in an old quarry ringed by four bunkers and plenty of heather.

17th & 18th

A demanding finish against a backdrop of open local countryside, back toward the clubhouse.

Where the course bites

Early on you meet the water at the 3rd. From there the course climbs out onto the moor and works its way around heather and gorse before the quarry 16th and the countryside finish. Four par-3s — every one of them testing — are the making or breaking of a card here.
